    A magazine and trade fair turned into a store. Here's the APLACE story!

    Since the start in 2005 we’ve been passionate about showcasing creative Scandinavian people within the fashion industry. It all begun when we created, what in our minds, was Sweden’s best fashion magazine at the time; ODD at large. The magazine was named Sweden's best niche-paper and the cultural sections in the big daily papers praised our issues, that ended with ten.

    We moved on by creating +46, an event during Stockholm's fashion week for progressive Scandinavian fashion. We gave upcoming fashion designers the chance to shine at our fashion shows, exhibition days, parties and through the +46 Award we founded which was handed out by internationally known fashion celebrities like stylist Nicola Formichetti (Dazed & Confused), designer Kim Jones and journalist Robb Young (Harald Tribune & i-D) among others.

    +46 was received with open arms by the fashion industry and Swedish magazine Nöjesguiden gave the project its Stockholm prize in 2008.

    Since 2007 we have existed in our current shape, as the fashion store APLACE. You can find us at our four stores or on Aplace.com where we continue our collaboration with progressive Scandinavian fashion brands.

    Since we couldn't really let go of making magazines we also publish APLACE Magazine twice a year.

    APLACE.COM (below mentioned as the Site) and related services are made available to you pursuant to the following Terms of Conditions (below mentioned as TOC). Please read the TOC carefully before placing any orders on Aplace.com.

    If you are under 16, you must let your parent or guardian know about Aplace.com´s Privacy Policy before you use this site or any of this site's services. We reserve the right to only accept orders from those over 18 however.

    We may modify the TOC from time to time. Please read the TOC and check back often. If you do not agree to any change to the TOC, then you must immediately stop using the Site. Any changes made after you have placed an order will not affect that order however, unless we are required to make the change by law.

    ELIGIBILITY TO PURCHASE

    In order to make purchases through the Site, you will be requested to register and provide your personal details. In particular, Customers must provide their real name, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, when ordering items, you will be required to provide payment details and you represent and warrant that the payment details you provide on ordering are both valid and correct and you confirm that you are the person referred to in the Billing information provided.

    The Site is available only to individuals and others who meet the APLACE.COM terms of eligibility, who have been issued a valid credit card by a bank acceptable to APLACE.COM, whose applications are acceptable to APLACE.COM and who have authorised APLACE.COM to process a charge or charges on their credit card in the amount of the total purchase price for the merchandise which they purchase. APLACE.COM reserves the right to restrict multiple quantities of an item being shipped to any one customer or postal address.

    By making an offer to purchase merchandise, you expressly authorize us to perform credit checks and, where APLACE.COM feels necessary, to transmit or to obtain information (including any updated information) about you to or from third parties from time to time, including but not limited to your credit-card number to authenticate your identity, to validate your credit card, to obtain an initial credit card authorization and to authorize individual purchase transactions. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information about how we use your data.

    PRIVACY POLICY

    APLACE.COM respect the privacy rights of its online visitors and recognize the importance of protecting the information collected about them. We have adopted a corporate wide Privacy Policy that guides how we collect, store and use the information that you provide us with.

    If you are under 16, we require that you inform a parent or guardian about APLACE.COM's Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions before placing and order with APLACE.COM.

    The following information is provided by APLACE.COM to enable our online visitors to be fully informed of our Privacy Policies. By visiting APLACE.COM, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions.

    This Privacy Policy does not apply to websites maintained by other companies or organizations to which we link. APLACE.COM is not responsible for any personal information you submit to third parties via our website.

    PERSONAL INFORMATION

    APLACE collects personal information in several ways when you place an order, buy a gift voucher for a friend or register for a service offered by APLACE.COM. If an order is placed with us, we need to hold personal information including your name, email address, home address and shipping address so that we can process and fulfill your order. Saved card details will never be shared with third parties and will only be used to process your order, using our payment partner's systems. Additionally we may also obtain information as a result of authentication or identity checks. Sometimes we may ask for your telephone number. This number may be given to our courier for delivery services. These details allow us to process your order and to let you know the status of your order.

    COOKIES

    Our site uses cookies to keep track of how often you visit our site, the contents of your shopping cart, previous purchases and to deliver content specific to your interests. (A cookie is a piece of information that is stored on your computer's hard drive by your web browser which tracks your movements within websites.) Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies but usually you can alter the settings of your browser to prevent automatic acceptance. If you choose not to receive cookies, you may still use most of the features of our website, including the ability to purchase items.

    HOW THIS INFORMATION MAY BE USED

    APLACE.COM may use your personal information for the processing of orders, payments and to provide you with a personalised shopping experience. We will also use your details to fulfill and deliver your orders and manage your account. Your personal information may also be checked with credit agencies to prevent fraud and may be shared with other trading divisions within APLACE.COM. Where there is a legal obligation to do so, we may disclose your information to any relevant regulatory body.
    We may also use your personal information to send you marketing updates but only ever in accordance with your preferences. We don't sell your details to third party marketing companies.

    We do collate statistical information about site traffic, sales and other commercial information which we may pass on to trusted third parties but these statistics do not include any information which can identify you personally. We see this as a value-added service helping you to find useful products or services.

    ORDERS

    All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

    APLACE.COM offers products for sale that are in stock and available for dispatch from our distribution center. Occasionally, however, we may be waiting for shipments from our designer suppliers. Consequently you may from time to time be given the possibility of making an Advance Payment for certain. This will ensure that you receive this item in priority once designer stock has been delivered to APLACE.COM.

    Customers making Advance Payments will receive items in priority to customers ordering through the Site for immediate delivery. Please be aware that we may be unable to deliver selected Advance Payment merchandise due to production problems or quality check issues identified when we receive an order into stock. In these circumstances we will notify you by email and refund the Advance Payment to your credit card within thirty days of being advised that merchandise has become unavailable.

    Please note that items in your shopping basket are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers.

    PRICING POLICY

    Prices shown on the Site are in EUROS and SEK and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate unless you have selected an alternative country where VAT is not chargeable (non EU).

    All prices and offers remain valid as advertised from time to time. The price of a product displayed on the Site at the time the order is accepted will be honoured, except in cases of patent error.

    Product prices are set at the beginning of each season using existing currency exchange rates. These prices are subject to change if the applicable currency exchange rate changes before your order is accepted or the items are subject to markdowns at any time during the selling period.

    We recommend you contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion.

    If you are a customer whose credit card is not denominated by our currencies, the final price will be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your credit card company processes the transaction.

    ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR ORDER

    Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is NOT an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it.
    Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and APLACE.COM will be completed when we email you to confirm the goods have been dispatched.

    We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that we are unable to obtain authorization for payment, that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn, or that you do not meet the eligibility criteria set out within the TOC.

    We may also refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any merchandise from the Site whether or not that merchandise has been sold; removing, screening or editing any materials or content on the Site; refusing to process a transaction or unwinding or suspending any transaction after processing has begun.

    PAYMENT

    Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Dankort debit cards and any other methods which may be clearly advertised on the Site from time to time. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon dispatch of your order by APLACE.COM. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to APLACE.COM, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
    We take all reasonable care to make our Site secure. All transactions are handled by Dibs. Your credit card number is sent by an encrypted connection to your bank. Dibs secure server software (SSL) is an industry standard and one of the best software available for secure digital payments.

    If your card is connected to UCAF / 3-D Secure, it will automatically be processed by Dibs UC3-D server.

    Furthermore, we will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.

    INSURANCE AND DELIVERY

    APLACE.COM insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfillment by APLACE.COM and transfer of responsibility in the same way. Please note that we aim to dispatch all orders within 48 hours. Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and commence from the date of dispatch, APLACE.COM are not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.

    TRACKING YOUR ORDER

    In the e-mail with your order confirmation you’ll find your order number, which enables you to track your delivery through APLACE.COM.

    APLACE.COM will store a record of your transactions for a minimum of one year.

    RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

    You may, for a full refund or exchange, return the goods to us by any secure means within 14 days from receiving the goods. Our address for all returns is APLACE.COM, Repslagargatan 17B ,SE-118 27 Stockholm.

    When you return or exchange garments, you have to cover the shipping charges. You also take responsibility for any items lost during shipping when exchanging or returning product.

    RECEIVING A REFUND

    Your refund will be credited to the original purchaser's credit card.

    If your order has been sent to a destination within the EU, all VAT will be refunded. Outside the EU, customs duties and sales taxes are non-refundable through APLACE.COM. However, you may be able to recover these by contacting your local customs bureau directly. Exchanges made to destinations outside of the EU will be submitted to the same customs procedures, therefore applicable for duty and tax again.

    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    Please seek to return items for exchange or refund within 14 days of receiving your package.
    We recommend that you send all items you wish to return from an order in the same shipment to ensure your return is processed as quickly as possible.
    Items should be returned in their original packaging to ensure they are adequately protected in transit. Shoe boxes should also be returned in the original outer packaging in order to ensure they are protected from damage, shoe boxes are considered part of the product, and your return may not be accepted if the box is damaged.

    OUR POLICY

    Items should be returned unused, and with all APLACE.COM and designer garment tags still attached. Returns that are damaged or soiled may not be accepted and may be sent back to the customer and/or a refund refused. Where provided, belts and any designer packaging such as authenticity cards, dust bags and leather tags should be included with your return.

    All items returned should include a copy of the shipping confirmation sent to your email. Unidentified returns may be returned to the sender.

    LATE RETURNS

    Please seek to return items within 14 days of the date of your return request. Returns outside these time frames may be accepted at the discretion of APLACE.COM, and depending on the circumstances may only be refunded as a store credit.

    SHOES

    All shoes should be tried on a carpeted surface before wear. Shoes should be returned unmarked and in their original, undamaged shoe box as this is considered part of the product. Shoes that are returned without boxes or in damaged boxes may not be accepted, and may be sent back to the customer.

    LINGERIE & SWIMWEAR

    Briefs, swimming costumes and bikini bottoms should be tried on over underwear, without removing the protective adhesive strip. Returns may not be accepted if this strip has been removed or if items are soiled, and may be sent back to the customer.

    FAULTY GOODS

    Goods are faulty if they are received damaged or where a manufacturing fault occurs within six months of purchase. Please note that items that are damaged as a result of normal wear and tear are not considered to be faulty.
    If you would like to exchange a faulty item (instead of obtaining a refund), please be aware that we can only replace it for the same product in the same size, subject to availability. Where possible, we will offer to repair faulty items. If it cannot be repaired or the same product is not available, you are entitled to a full refund.

    THIRD PARTY SITES

    We may include hyperlinks on this Site to other websites or resources operated by parties other than APLACE.COM, including advertisers. APLACE.COM has not reviewed all of the sites linked to its Web Site and is not responsible for the content or accuracy of any off-site pages

    COMPENSATION

    At our request, you agree to compensate us fully, defend us and hold us APLACE.COM harmless immediately on demand, its officers, directors, agents, affiliates, licensees, and suppliers, from and against all liabilities, claims, expenses, damages and losses, including legal fees, arising from any breach of the TOC by you including the use by any other persons accessing this Site using your Internet account caused by your action or inaction.

    OUR RELATIONSHIP

    You acknowledge and agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and APLACE.COM as a result of the TOC or your use of this Site. You agree that you may not and will not hold yourself out as a representative, agent, or employee of APLACE.COM, and we shall not be liable for any representation, act, or omission on your part.

    GOVERNING LAW

    The TOC together with all our policies and procedures will be governed by and construed in accordance the relevant Swedish law.

    International orders are shipped with FedEx and are fully insured. Orders within Sweden are shipped with DB Schenker

    Important information
    • All FedEx orders require a signature upon receipt
    • If you aren´t present in person when the FedEx courier reach upon your destination, the courier leaves a ”fail to deliver note”. On this note the contact information to your local FedEx office is stated. Then you can arrange a new delivery try at your convenience.

    Free shipping
    From time to time, APLACE.COM runs free shipping promotions. Please note that free shipping promotions will be applied to your order on the payment page.

    Insurance
    APLACE.COM insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to you. We require a signature for any goods delivered internationally, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you.

    Taxes & Duties
    Swedish VAT (25%) will be applied to all destinations within the EU. All our garments are sent from Sweden, and we do not take responsibility for custom charges outside EU. Since we offer taxfree orders outside the EU we don´t pay the tax in your (non-EU) country.

  • Returns & Exchanges

    How to make a return/exchange
    •Print your order confirmation and enclose this to your returning items.
    •Book a safe collection by your choice and send the shipment to: Aplace, Repslagargatan 17, SE-118 46 Stockholm, Sweden.
    •You will be notified by email once your return has been received and processed.

    To exchange an item, simply specify the new size you require written on the deliverynote included in the package and follow the instructions above. Please note that we are only able to offer size exchanges. If you wish to exchange your item for an alternative style, we suggest that you return it for a store credit (voucher valid for 6 months) and purchase the new item separately.

    Receiving a refund
