Cork is the outer bark of the cork oak, a tree native to the Mediterranean region. The cork is harvested sustainably without harming the tree, as it does not need to be cut down or damaged. After harvesting, a new layer of cork naturally regenerates, making cork a material with a minimal environmental footprint.
