Buying a suitcase is not something you do that often, and probably even less often if it’s in turquoise. But these twisted suitcases made by fashion design graduate Sarah Williams is a real incentive to do so. The collection was showcased last week at the London College of Fashion’s presentation. Focus lies on utilizing historical craftmanship and metamorphosising this into something unconventional. The suitcase’s curves resembles the colourful blocks in the classic game Tetris or the melting objects in Salvador Dali’s paintings, creating a surreal feeling to these otherwise so conventional objects.
