APLACE x ATACAC Capsule Collection
With a combination of 19th century illusionism tricks and recent 3D visualisation techniques Atacac and Aplace presents a collection exploring the borderline between the virtual and the physical garment. The garments are sold on pre-order and production will start the 5th of February in Gothenburg.
Atacac is not only applying innovative ideas on garment construction, they are also creating new models for sales and pricing.
Using 3D software that are traditionally used in gaming industry, Atacac generate realistic 3D models of the garments and sell them on pre-order. This makes it possible to avoid warehousing and overproduction in the production chain.
We want to show a completely new way to produce and sell fashion.
- Rickard Lindqvist, Atacac.

The pricing for the garments works in the same way as for plane tickets - the earlier the tickets are bought, the lower the price. Keeping the whole production chain in one place, it is possible to shorten the process to only a few days. The local micro factory are mainly driven by skillful textile workers from Aleppo, that were forced to flee their homes because of the civil war.
