Richard Ntege
Please tell us a little about yourself Richard, what do you do?
“I am a person who is stimulated by jumping on creative projects. I currently work as a stylist, but I also have a background in marketing as I am a consultant for various brands where I help them develop strategic path choices in social media.”
What characterizes your style?
“I try to get away from the western world when it comes to getting inspiration and I love the Korean and Japanese fashion scene. So I would describe my style as high-end with a mix of second hand and a touch of the Korean and Japanese fashion culture.”
Tell us about the pieces that you now sell with us, is there a good story connected to any of the pieces?
“My first item I bought in Korea is actually the oversized shirt with the Picasso painting. Expensive, but definitely unique. Makes you stand out, which I think is key in fashion.”
What is your best second hand purchase?
“Without a doubt a shirt I recently bought at BEYONDRETRO. Wore it at a CHIMI event and was asked if it was from Acne, a sign that you have made a good purchase for 189 kr!”
Karin Smeds
Please tell us a little about yourself Karin, what do you do?
“For the past 20 years, I have worked as a fashion editor for fashion magazines and as a freelance stylist for photo and film production, as well as styling fashion shows. Right now, I work quite a lot with artists and musicians, stylistically defining and refining their stage personas. During the pandemic, I’ve also studied at the university with a focus on art theory, aesthetics and marketing within culture. Now starting my fourth semester and it is extremely rewarding! You can also find me in the Toteme store on Friday afternoons, where I work as a studio associate .”
What characterizes your style?
“It’s not that elaborate, I tend to focus more on styling others, but I like quality in both design and materials. I like to shop classic vintage and mix it up with contemporary trends according to mood. Currently trying to implement more color into my wardrobe, but I have a hallmark that always accompanies my style – a scarf!”
Tell us about the pieces that you now sell with us, is there a good story connected to any of the pieces?
“I’ve bought a lot of Prada over the years and thought I’d sell some of it. I also have a lot of YSL 70s/80s, but those pieces are a bit hard for me to part with.. maybe something. But there will be pieces from Bottega Veneta, Prada, Jil Sander, Gucci, Marni and Dries Van Noten among others. It is important to make some room in the closet for new treasures.”
What is your best second hand purchase?
“I’ve always been a vintage hunter and found lots of good stuff. I’ve been focused on finding that perfect pair of jeans for a long time and I’m always so happy when they fit the person I’m looking for! I also often buy Hermes Carré scarves and remember finding a perfect unused in its box for 30 kr once !”

Paul Edwards Musoke
Please tell us a little about yourself Paul, what do you do?
“My name is Paul Edwards Musoke and I am 24 years old. I work as a photographer and creative director while I run a production company with three friends.”
What characterizes your style?
“My style is definitely experimental and mostly inspired by the 90s. The last few years I think my style has been very trendy, just following streetwear and not really putting my own touch on it. Now I’m in a time where I feel that I’ve actually started to find my own fashion sense more, which I think has to do with the fact that I’ve not only matured and developed as a person, but this is also reflected in my creative aesthetic when it comes to my art and photography. For example, if you look through my portfolio, my artistic expression and the type of photography I do has changed a lot over the years.
In 2019 my art and aesthetics were very loud and experimental, now it is cleaner, thoughtful, mature and very technical in its expression. So when it comes to my style and the type of clothes I look for, I explore high-end fashion and things that can be more of an investment. I like a more mature look, but I still like to play with both feminine and masculine designs.
Tell us about the pieces that you now sell with us, is there a story connected to any of the pieces?
“There isn’t exactly a backstory to any of the clothes I now sell with you at APLACE. But there’s an orange bag from Our Legacy that makes me think of one of my favorite trips to Copenhagen with two of my best friends! That bag has been through misery and so much love!”
What is your best second hand purchase?
“My very best second hand purchase is a long trench coat I found in Korea 2018! Still in love with that coat to this day!”
Marcus Söder
Please tell us a little about yourself Marcus, what do you do?
“Worked as a stylist, fashion director and art director most of my career. Now working with analysis and strategy in fashion, I usually call it creative fashion analysis – connecting the left and right sides of fashion companies. Obsessed with art and music. Schooled by the 90s London. Listens to NTS radio every day and takes my time of in the nature.”
What characterizes your style?
“Rick Owens is house god, so there’s much clunky shoes and weird pants in monochrome colors. I like the luxuriously comfortable that’s a bit twisted and quite street. Grew up on hip hop and that has left its marks.”
Tell us about the pieces that you now sell with us, is there a backstory to any of them?
“Reduced my wardrobe due to a move recently so here goes the best that almost had the chance to stay.
Crackled white painted Calvin Klein denim jacket by Raf Simons in Margiela style. Japanese suede boots from Shoto. Clean kind of unused trousers from both Ami and Dries van Noten. Loose fit Acne Studios jeans in a patched design from the Blå Konst line. The longest Ami belt available. Biker jacket in super soft leather from Stand Studio. But unfortunately no super backstory on anything.”
What is your best second hand purchase?
“Been a second hand hunter since the 90’s. Worked as a buyer at London’s best vintage menswear designers in the early 2000s and brought home so many treasures it’s hard to understand now. Best find then was a vintage Vivienne Westwood ‘squiggle’ scarf from her first collections. But also when The Real Real did a pop up in Soho, NYC in 2017 to launch – three Rick Owens and one Raf Simons piece came home with me in the luggage.”

Pamela Bellafesta
Please tell us a little about yourself Pamela and what you do
“I work as a freelance stylist and work with clients such as Ellos, H&M, Softgoat, I do all the looks for Pär Lernström and have also just started working with Molly Hammar for her participation in Så Mycket Bättre. I live outside of town in a small wooden house with my boyfriend , two children and a cat. When I have time to spare, I do yoga, breathwork or paint.”
What characterizes your style?
“My daughter said to me when she was little, ‘Mom, you look like a guy who’s going on a date‘ I think that’s a good description.
Tell us about the pieces that you now sell with us, is there a wonderful story behind any the pieces?
“I’m determined to further minimize my wardrobe and I’m selling off some goodies that I really didn’t want to get rid of.
Including a pair of black jeans from Toteme that I actually love, but the drawer won’t close anymore so they had to go. I also said goodbye to a very nice white shirt I found at the Jus sale from Margaux Lönnberg. Love her shirts but have another one I use more so this one had to go.”
What is your best second hand purchase?
“I bought a very beautiful dress for a wedding at Vestiaire this summer from Sandro. It’s powder pink and not really my style but we still click, and it fits so well.
I’ve also found a floral shirt with shoulder pads on Åland for 30 kr that is waiting to see the light of day. But the favorite is a yellow t-shirt from Loewe’s men’s collection that I also found at Vestiaire. The whole family is fighting over it now – my partner, me and the 9 year old all want it. It’s a good purchase considering how many times it will be used.”
Maria Barsoum
Please tell us a little about yourself Maria, what do you do?
“My name is Maria Barsoum and I work as a stylist. My job is very varied, which is something I love! I work with everything from established European brands and new Swedish designers to artists and actors looks on the red carpet.”
What characterizes your style?
“How I dress in private depends on the day’s shape and mood. But in my work I like to mix everything from new designers with established fashion houses, I always mix new garments with old ones and always look for contrasts!”
Tell us about the pieces that you now sell with us, is there a good backstory?
“Among other things, there will be a jacket from BALENCIAGA from the time of Nicolas Ghesquière that I bought in a vintage store in New York many years ago that now can become someone else’s new pearl!”
What is your best second hand purchase?
“A dark blue skirt with slits all the way up in wool from Prada (think Prada 90s). I bought it in a vintage shop on Monmouth street in London almost 10 years ago and have worn it every autumn since!”
