Black female artists dominated the music scene and their music was all over New York clubs. These flamboyant clubs became a foundation for a diversity of cultural expressions where people from different backgrounds could unite and break free from stereotypes. The collection reflects the pop culture from the 70s that came to influence big fashion houses, like Prada, later in the 90s. Brown shades, square shoes and chunky sandals were designed to challenge the sexiness of the 90s.
