Guns of Brixtol
Winter is coming and Brixtol is ready with vegan down jackets made from recycled PET bottles. A win win situation for everyone.
Gustav Kjellander and Emil Holmström was brought together by a longing for deviating from traditions and breaking conventions.
In 2011, they founded Brixtol Textiles, a brand that makes outerwear inspired by the 60’s mod culture, british workwear and modern streetwear. The name is a mix between Brixton, the district of southern London and Bristol, the city of southern England.
This season, Brixtol is launching down jackets made of recycled PET bottles. The bottles are milled, washed and converted into threads that are used to make warm winter jackets. The down used to manufacture the jackets are polyester down, which keeps the heat as good as ordinary down does, but it withstand moisture better and can be machine washed. No innocent geese have been injured, and that gives you a very good karma while you’re being warm and stylish at the same time.
