The GEL-KAYANO 14 from Asics is an innovative update to the classic running shoe. It retains the aesthetics of the late 2000s as a nod to their well-known GEL-KAYANO series. This version was the first release of the sneaker series designed by Toshikazu Kayano himself.
The shoe's performance features have now been updated with new materials and components. The torch with the franchise's signature values is passed on, and the development of the shoe's performance continues to evolve. The original sole with GEL technology cushioning has been updated with an improved fit in the upper, while the shoe retains its layered leather and mesh construction from 2008. The insole has been dyed using a technique that reduces water usage by 33% and carbon emissions by about 45%.
